A lifelong rock and roll fan, Neal Hamilton has had the dream job of photographer for The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, documenting the concerts and musical heroes that have passed through the cathedral of Rock.
After a tragic house fire destroyed his home and studio, Neal experienced an artistic rebirth. Rediscovering his passions for design and painting and fueled by the music he loves, Neal began to paint feverishly, creating with an arsenal of unorthodox tools and remnants of cans of house paint.
The result — mesmerizing pop-art extrapolations. Paints layered, mediums melded; canvases pushed and prodded into life, saturated with vibrant colors and the soul of rock and roll.
In these portraits of rocks icons, Neal Hamilton feels that, at long last, his experiences and creative passions have found a home.
Meet Sting, Bootsy Collins, Jimi Hendrix, Peter Gabriel and more… up close, in your face, and very, very personal.
